Course Description

Welcome to 7th Grade Physical Education students and parents. Within this course it is my main duty as a Physical Educator to help all students transition smoothly from 6th to 7th grade in a physical and healthy manner. All students will have more responsibility and be required to give full and maximum effort in all activities, leading to maximum points within our grading system. Our mission, as defined by the California State Framework for Physical Education, is to develop a physically educated person who has mastered the necessary movement skills to participate confidently in many different forms of physical activity, values physical fitness, and understands that both are intimately related to health and well-being.

- Assess and Maintain Physical Fitness To Improve Health and Performance

- Demonstrates Knowledge of Physical Fitness Concepts, Principles and Strategies

49% = 5 points daily = 25 points weekly

Physical Eduction Google Journal / Homework

1% = 10 Points Weekly

Citizenship (See attached post labeled Citizenship Grade Criteria Breakdown)

1% = 1 Points daily = 5 Points Weekly

  A variety of physical education units will be covered throughout each year, thus skills progressing throughout each unit yearly. These units include: Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Soccer, Team Handball, Pickle ball, Softball, Rugby, and of course Fitness.   Our main goal as a Physical Education department here at KLA is to equip every student with the necessary tools and skills to develop positive motivation and association to engage in regular physical activity. Furthermore, to adopt the mindset to be physically active lifelong and participate in healthy habits daily.
