KLA Peer Mediation!
KLA Peer Mediators- our pledge:
1.) Promote conflict resolution through communication and peaceful resolutions, 2.) Educate students about the dangers of drugs/ alcohol/ tobacco, and 3.) Promote Tolerance and more unity amongst our diverse student population, 4.) and collaborate with other clubs on campus!
KLA Peer Mediators have
-Assisted with KLA College Classes (Facilitate talking circles, skits, presentations) for
Red Ribbon Week activities(Oct), Mix it Up Day (Nov), No Name Calling Week (Jan)
-Facilitated monthly workshops (Tobacco prevention and education, "No Drama Day", bullying prevention, etc) for 5th grade students
-Organized Red Ribbon Week lunchtime activities
-Organized the KLA "Red Ribbon Week Haunted House"
-Organized "Mix it Up Day" activities
-Recruited and trained new Peer Mediators
-Learned leadership skills!
