Halloween parade welcome to a brand new school year here at KLA I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know each and every single one of you my name is mr. Mulligan and I will be a fish man teacher this year a little bit about this class is Humanities class which is a combination of reading different types of text writing in history this class will be using at Buy Kirkland which is an online bass curriculum you will be participating in different types of academic discussion which you will be either pairing up and sharing working small groups and responding on pair. This year in this class will he's going to happen to mine looking at curiosity openness engagement creativity persistence responsibility flexibility and metacognition are grading policy here in this class is 35% for 4 assessment password 20% for Rupert bass riding 10% speaking listening and partner reading 25% is in summative which is why do essays quizzes assessment interim and finally 10% which is going to be for your Lexia program and solos in your writing you'll be graded on a 10-point scale which shows you if you are either exceeding standards meeting standards approaching not yet or incomplete Mission points will be 10 points per week please be familiar with these different expectations so that you can be your very best looking at the grading policy she can give you an idea of what you are planning to do the school year training goals for yourself be at per week be at per day what are your goals for the end of the school year at the at the grading degrading. Always keep the end in mind that will help you organize and help you work towards achieving those goals your GPA and cgpa will be based off this grading scale 9% to 100% and a re 80% and 9% a b or G 70 to 79% as Dior as 60% to 69% of deer an Empire 9% and Below an F or you the great overview or the different units will be looking at this class will be looking at War and narrative biography and literature Liberty Union and Science in science fiction your homework will consist of repeating work not complete in class continue your Lexia power up every week which is 60 minutes per week and feeling your leadership box the virtual classroom across from expectation and for any reason for any case that we enter the virtual classroom again these are the expectations I am looking for each student especially number 76 we are being prepared to work and being respectful the Russian policy in Russian policy is for students and are used to the restroom you be given a chance to use restroom once for me so please use it wisely make sure that you are using the restroom during passing. On lunch break. Use your time wisely please and raising is very important in class so just going to teach your butt to your fellow classmates as well please raise your hand would you like to speak in class and be respectful to the people around you absences and missing work be ready to email teachers if you are missing class for any reason make sure that you let them know and also make sure that you find it you know what you are doing in class all my work will be posted on Google classroom and if you have any questions please feel free to give me please feel free to contact me remember missing work is responsibility of the student to make up as your responsibility the reach values all Kelly leaders at school are expected to use these values everyday the idea of showing respect showing through achieving citizenship as well as working hard repair involvement letter is a form that will be signed by you and your parents or Guardians to show that you have read listen and read the syllabus thank you for your time I appreciate it I hope that we have a great school year I'm looking forward to working with all of you
