Hello KLA parents and students!
The Extended Day Program (EDP) at Keiller Leadership Academy is designed to enhance the high quality education your student receives during the regular school day. We work to provide your child with a student-centered experience to support them as learners and citizens “beyond the bell.” Our program is special in its academic focus; after receiving snack, students receive an hour of homework assistance and supplemental instruction from either Primary or Secondary teachers; in many cases, students work with the same teacher(s) they work with during the regular school day. In addition to academics, our program is also designed to focus on students’ holistic enrichment in the areas of arts, physical education, and leadership development.
Our program is led by myself, and EDP Aides Jessica Tello, Tristaca McCray, Ana Vega, Clara Padilla, and Alfonso Padilla. We are all delighted to work with you and your child, and look forward to growing with our EDP students throughout the school year. We thank you very much for your involvement in our school and our Extended Day. We hope that you feel free to discuss any questions you may have about the program with Ian Hippensteele, Extended Day Program Coordinator, at 619-263-9266 ext. 2017 or through email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that our room locations have changed for the 2017-2018 school year. We will be in rooms 17-19, which are towards the back of the campus in front of the basketball courts. You will be able to pick up your students from these rooms.
Be sure to stay tuned to this page for frequent updates on all the wonderful experiences your student is having after-school!
